Strategic Consulting for Startup Success

    BetaSteps Fabrication Lab combines over ten years of hands-on fabrication experience with proven processes designed to move ideas efficiently from concept to reality. Through years of building prototypes, solving design challenges, and refining workflows, we have developed systems that help reduce wasted time, improve quality, and create repeatable results. Our lab includes:
    • 10 Bambu Lab 3D printers
    • 8 Creality 3D printers
    • Two 40-watt laser cutters
    • One Formlabs resin printer
    • Two injection molding systems This equipment allows us to support everything from rapid prototyping and custom fabrication to small production runs and specialized projects.

    3D Printing Materials

    We work with a broad range of materials based on the performance requirements of your project. Standard materials include: • PLA for general prototyping and visual models
    • PETG for strength and durability
    • ABS for functional and impact-resistant parts For projects that require advanced mechanical properties, heat resistance, or structural performance, we also work with high-performance materials including: • PA6-CF (carbon fiber reinforced nylon)
    • PA12-CF (carbon fiber reinforced nylon)
    • PA6-GF (glass fiber reinforced nylon) These materials are ideal for demanding applications that require increased strength, rigidity, and durability.

    Laser Cutting and Fabrication

    Our laser cutting systems allow us to create precise parts, custom designs, signage, prototypes, enclosures, and production components across a variety of materials. Laser fabrication provides fast turnaround and high repeatability for projects requiring accuracy and clean finishes.

    Injection Molding

    For projects moving beyond individual prototypes, our injection molding capability allows us to create repeatable parts in larger quantities while maintaining quality and consistency. This helps bridge the gap between prototyping and scaled production.

    Every fabrication project is unique. Rather than forcing projects into fixed packages, our pricing is built around the factors that drive actual production costs: • Material costs

I started BetaSteps shortly after exiting my second startup while building my third and participating in a local business accelerator that changed the way I understood entrepreneurship and product development. The experience reshaped my view of the startup journey and showed me the value of structured learning, rapid testing, and small, intentional progress. 

From that experience, I developed a startup workflow built around short cycles of experimentation and iteration that I called 'Beta Steps.' The idea was simple: meaningful progress happens through continuous learning, testing, refining, and taking the next practical step forward. 

Over the last sixteen years, I have applied that approach across multiple startups and innovation projects, including ventures where I had no direct ownership stake. Along the way, I have built an above-average track record and developed a repeatable process that helps move ideas from concepts into working solutions. 

At the same time, I have spent more than ten years working with 3D printing and rapid prototyping technologies, turning ideas into physical models, prototypes, and functional products. That hands-on experience expanded BetaSteps beyond strategy and planning into creating, testing, and building. Today, BetaSteps Fabrication Lab brings together entrepreneurship, technology, design, and fabrication to help transform ideas into reality
