I started beta steps shortly after exiting my second startup, while working on my third and going through a local business accelerator that reshaped my understanding of the startup process. I began building on the program that I had gone through. I started a startup workflow based on small iteration cycles, which I called "beta steps." Sixteen years later, I have an above average track record and a repeatable process that I've applied to several startups, even those I don't have a direct stake in.
